At Kelly Lane, one of the ways we learn social, emotional skills, such as taking turns, considering others’ feelings, and coping with disappointment, is through playing games. Sorry is a crowd favorite at the moment! Using puppets is another way we learn. They can help us express and manage difficult feelings, especially for kids who are not yet comfortable talking about these things directly.

Students in Mrs. Spellman-Cloutier's kindergarten class are learning to retell stories. Using the classic tale, The Mitten, the children told the story of many animals trying to keep warm in a little boy's lost mitten. They had to use details that they remembered and tell the story in the proper sequence. If you know the story at all, there was a big SNEEZE that was very pivotal to the story! They did a great job!
