
Granby Public Schools will be closed today, Friday March 22nd due to a power outage.
GMHS and GMMS will dismiss at 9:15am.
Kelly Lane and Wells Road students will dismiss at 10:15am from the Wells Road campus.

Music and PE collaborated together to do cardio drumming with every class. Students were challenged to play lots of rhythms on the drums while getting a full body workout!

John Patrick Green, author of Investigators, Agents of S.U.I.T. and Kitten Construction Company did an exciting presentation for the students. It was fun to learn how he creates his books!

Preschoolers in Mrs. Peterson's class have been learning about ways to keep their bodies and teeth healthy. Through play experiences they have enhanced their peer and social interactions, used their imaginations and also strengthened their academic skills with number and letter identification and word building.







In Miss Colaccino's first grade class we have been breaking out some new soft start materials! We use our soft start time in the morning to ease into our day and start the morning on a positive note. The kids have been loving this time together!




There is always a lot of problem solving happening in the Media Center!




Granby Public Schools will have a regular school day this Friday, March 8th.


Kindergarteners in Mrs. Buder's class are enjoying Read Across Kelly Lane! We loved teaching our stuffed animals how to make pairs of 10, reading to them and counting with them!

GREAT JOB KELLY LANE! Not only did you help to make your heart strong, learn ways to keep it strong, your raised $7834.32 for the American Heart Association! Miss K and the entire Kelly Lane Community is beyond proud of all of your efforts! A big shout out to Miss Kozieradzki for her support of the AHA and always making her instruction fun!






Mrs. Martin's second grade class practiced writing words with -ed and -ing endings by playing "What Word Is On My Head."

For Valentine's Day, students in Miss Brown's first grade are practicing positive affirmations. When students learn to use positive affirmations, they increase their self-efficacy, self-regulation, and task engagement, as well as successfully manage social challenges. These amazing first graders completed a writing activity by writing positive "I can", "I am", and "I have" statements for Valentine's Day!




Students in Mrs. Bisaillon's kindergarten class love their soft start mornings! Soft starts allow students to enter the classroom stress-free and ease into their learning. It provides students the opportunity to work on relationship skills and make connections. They love to let their creativity shine!







Students in Mrs. Farnsworth’s preschool classroom are learning all about pets and working in letter sounds. They are making pets with pattern blocks, exploring the pet shop in the dramatic play area and building CVC words.







Mrs. Sperandio's second grade class started their day with a "Soft Start" by doing a large floor puzzle, generously provide by a grant funded by the Granby Education Foundation! Later in the day the students practiced their partner writing.






Mrs. Diemer came to Mrs. Wilken's kindergarten class to teach about composting. We compost our food scraps from lunch. Every little bit helps!






The 2nd graders in Mrs. Kibby's room thought of one word to help them have their best year yet! We all plan to read our word, live our word, and share our words with others every day!
