This meeting will help parents and families:
Understand the IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) regulations specific to IEPs and transition services at the secondary level.
Discover ways to make this transition into career/employment, postsecondary education/training, and/or independent living smoother and less stressful.
Learn about adult service agencies such as DDS, BRS, and CT PIE along with guardianship and other options.
Middle school and high school parents and family members are vital participants in the transition planning process - you provide a unique perspective on your student's needs.
