In the first few weeks of the fall of the 2014-2015 school year all students in grades 7-10 were assigned a Google Chromebook notebook computer for use in school and at home. The 1-to-1 computer program rollout continued in the 2015-2016 school year with the addition of the 11th and 12th grades. Families with students in grades 7-12 received a communication over the summer with an included device sign out form. The form must be completed by parents and brought to school in order for students to receive a device.*Students will be assigned a new Chromebook to use for a period of 3 years prior to it being replaced by the district. The Chromebook computer is valued at $250. The device is the property of the school district. Just as with textbooks and other school-owned property assigned to students, parents and students will be held responsible for vandalism, theft, lost and/or excessive damage to the device beyond normal warranty. It is up to parents to decide whether or not to purchase 3rd party device insurance.
