The week of December 9th, the Student Council sponsored their Second Annual Week of Giving at Wells Road. Again, it was a huge success, collecting abundant donations. Monday, students made holiday cards for the residents of Meadowbrook here in Granby. Tuesday, students brought in items like Legos, Barbies, and action figures to donate to CCMC’s wishlist to brighten the lives of patients. On Wednesday, families donated 109 pairs of PJs to The Pajama Program via Catholic Charities in Hartford. Thursday was all about Granby with a food drive to support Granby Food Bank. Well of 4 huge bins were filled. And finally on Friday, students enjoyed a casual day in their PJ’s as part of CCMC’s statewide PJ Day for the kids. Altogether, the Wells Road family collected over $400 that went to support families at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center. The generosity was amazing as donations poured in all week, and thanks go out to all who participated!
