Health Services

Our staff is committed to keeping you informed on health related issues.  At each of the Granby Public Schools, there is a health clinic staffed with a registered nurse.  Please find contact information and hours of operation at each school's Health Services link.

The Granby BOE contracts with the Farmington Valley VNA for school nurses at all the Granby Schools.  Please visit the VNA website at www.farmingtonvalleyvna.org for more information and details about other community services available.

District Health News

It is that time of year again!

Cold and Flu season is here

Remind your children to wash their hands before eating, or after blowing their nose. To sneeze and cough "into their elbow" or a tissue.  Getting adequate sleep and utilizing a water bottle through their day at school are useful to avoiding illness.

Guidelines for Keeping Kids Home From School:

Temperature of 100 degrees or higher

Diarrhea

Vomiting within the past 24 hours

Coughing severe enough to prevent sleeping through the night

Persistent pain (ear, stomach, head/sinus, etc)

Most of these symptoms need to be discussed with your child's pediatrician to determine if an office visit is required.
