It is that time of year again!
Cold and Flu season is here
Remind your children to wash their hands before eating, or after blowing their nose. To sneeze and cough "into their elbow" or a tissue. Getting adequate sleep and utilizing a water bottle through their day at school are useful to avoiding illness.
Guidelines for Keeping Kids Home From School:
Temperature of 100 degrees or higher
Diarrhea
Vomiting within the past 24 hours
Coughing severe enough to prevent sleeping through the night
Persistent pain (ear, stomach, head/sinus, etc)
Most of these symptoms need to be discussed with your child's pediatrician to determine if an office visit is required.
